Background & Career
Known to racing fans around the world as the “Spanish Elvis,” Jordi Torres is one of Spain’s most accomplished and respected motorcycle racers. A two-time MotoE World Cup Champion, Jordi made history by securing back-to-back world titles in 2020 and 2021. His impressive résumé also includes two Spanish Moto2 Championships and success across Supersport, Stock Extreme, Moto2, MotoGP, and World Superbike competition. Jordi began his professional racing career in Spain’s highly competitive Supersport and Superstock championships before progressing to the Moto2 World Championship as a full-time rider in 2011. His talent quickly became apparent, earning his first Moto2 podium in 2013 before claiming a memorable maiden victory at the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring later that season. In 2018, Jordi fulfilled a career milestone by stepping up to the premier MotoGP class, competing in two races for Reale Avintia Racing as a replacement for the injured Tito Rabat. He also enjoyed a successful five-year stint in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) from 2015 to 2019, representing some of the sport’s most recognised manufacturers, including Aprilia, BMW, MV Agusta and Kawasaki.
